Job Summary: The Strengthening Leading Mozambican NGOs and Networks is a three-year associate cooperative agreement with USAID to strengthen the management and organizational capacity of Mozambican NGOs and networks providing HIV/AIDS services in their communities.
CAP’s integrated approach combines intensive institutional support for a focused number of sub-grantees and general trainings to reach a larger number of organizations. CAP Mozambique’s institutional strengthening support targets organizations that are well positioned to manage large and complex budgets, implement multiple projects, and plan strategically for long term organizational development.
Essential Job Functions:
• Design and support the implementation of behavior change strategies appropriate for CAP grant recipients. • Facilitate training and technical assistance to CAP partners in the development and implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention programs. • Develop training materials, test new models, and assist CAP grant recipients in implementing them. • Strengthen the capacity of CAP Mozambique staff to design, implement, and evaluate behavior change prevention strategies.
Experience required:
Experience designing and managing effective HIV/AIDS behavior change programs, strategies and tools. • Minimum 5 years field experience implementing behavioral change programs in developing countries.• Experience working in Africa preferable, experience in Mozambique desirable.
Skills:
• Excellent participatory facilitation and coaching skills. • Ability to develop training tools and materials for a variety of contexts, learning levels, and needs. Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English required. •
